Hi all

I have a 1986 MB Trac 1500 and i have just had the injector pump referbished. However since the pump has been returned the tractor now lacks in power. When the tractor reaches hills, it now slows down, where as once it used to pull hard with black smoke comming out of the exhaust pipe.

Please could somebody advice me on how to open up the injector pump.

If you reale have take off the injection-pump (for whatever?) and now you had install it back on the engine and you have now blackSmoke, check follow adjustment:
- the timing from the first piston (engine)to the first pump element from the injection pump must be on the correct position.
- it mean that your engine get now to early or to late diesel!
Check this.
P.S. I hope the air cleaner is clean
